Workplace Training

Our hospitality and first aid courses are available as onsite training programs delivered at your workplace.

You can arrange to have the courses delivered at a location and time that suits your needs, be it one course or a number of courses scheduled over a period of time.

Our experience and feedback from our clients, has shown that having training for 10 or more participants in their workplace is a cost effective way of ensuring that their staff are up to date with any changes to legislation, industry practices and provides a more effective use of time with less disruption to your workplace and customers.

Some courses due to Victorian Commission for Gambling and Liquior Regulation (VCGLR) legislation/licencing requirements, have a maximum number of participants allowed to attend per session, which is indicated in the course information below.

 

Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA)

This RSA course is recognised by the VCGLR.

  • Delivery of this course takes four (4) hours to complete.
  • A maximum of 25 participants per session.
  • On successful completion, particpants will receive a VCGLR approved RSA certificate.

 

Responsible Service of Gambling (RSG)

Anyone completing gambling-related duties in a Victorian licensed venue is required to hold a VCGLR approved RSG certificate.

  • This course takes around four (4) hours to complete.

  • A maximum of 25 participants per session.

  • On successful completion, particpants will receive a VCGLR approved RSG certificate.

 

Provide First Aid - HLTAID003

Provide First Aid, formerly known as Senior First Aid, is one of Australia's most commonly required first aid courses.

  • This course takes around seven (7) hours to complete.

  • Some pre-course work is required to be completed by each participant.

  • Includes the national accedited unit "Provide CPR HLTAID001".

  • On successful completion, particpants will receive a certificate for the national accedited units, Provide First Aid - HLTAID003 & Provide CPR - HLTAID001.

 

Annual First Aid - CPR Refreher course (Provide CPR - HLTAID001)

It is recomendation from the Australian Resuscitation Council that CPR training be completed at least annually. Safe Work Australia First Aid in the Workplace (Code of Practice) also states ‘Refresher training in CPR should be undertaken annually and first aid qualifications should be renewed every three years’.

  • This course takes around three (3) hours to complete.

  • On successful completion, particpants will receive a certificate for the national accedited unit, Provide CPR - HLTAID001.

 

Victorian Licensee's Training Course (VLTC)

Victorian Licensee's Training Course (New Entrant Training equivalent) is a training course for licensees and nominees building new operations or transferring existing licences within Victoria. The Victorian Commission for Gambling and Liquor Regulation (VCGLR) in Victoria requires that new Licensees complete New Entrant Training before granting a liquor license.

  • This course takes around seven (7) hours to complete.

  • Check to see if you or one of your staff need to undertake this course, visit VCGLR website.

  • It is recommended that all licensees undertake a Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) course.

 

Food Safety Handler Course (FSH)

This course is a nationally accredited unit of competency surrounding the need and requirements of food safety in a range of commercial food environments.

  • This course takes around four (4) hours to complete.

  • On successful completion, particpants will receive a certificate for the national accedited unit, SITXFSA101 - Use Hygienic Practices for Food Safety 

 

Food Safety Supervisor (FSS)

Every food business must have a food safety supervisor.

This intensive 7 hour course provides supervisors with the required certification for the role. This course covers a range of food safety requirements and practices relevant in a hospitality and commercial food environment as recommended in the Food Safety Victoria guidelines.

  • This course takes around seven (7) hours to complete.

  • On successful completion, particpants will receive a certificate for the national accedited unit, SITXFSA201 - Participate in safe food handling practices.

 

Barista Coffee (Level 1)

Engage your staff with expert coffee preperation skills be enrolling them in our Barista Coffee course.

  • This course takes around four (4) hours to complete.
