Food & Beverage training
A Certificate III in Hospitality Operations (Food & Beverage) is designed to reflect the role of hospitality employees who perform a range of skilled industry operations. Holders of this qualification will be required to demonstrate the ability to make decisions on the job which are appropriate to their position:
- Food & beverage attendant in a 3-5 star hotel
- Bar person in a hotel
- Waiter in a fine dining restaurant
- Waiter in a small cafe
Hospitality Training Australia is accredited to deliver this program in:
- Victoria (Melbourne and all Country)
- New South Wales (Sydney, Wollongong, Newcastle, Western Sydney, Eastern Suburbs, Canterbury – Bankstown)
- Queensland (Brisbane, Ipswich, Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast, Townsville, Cairns)

- Develop and update hospitality industry knowledge

- Implement food safety procedures
- Prepare and serve espresso coffee
- Communicate on the telephone
- Promote products and services to customers
- Deal with conflict situations
- Coach others in job skills
- Prepare and serve non-alcoholic beverages
- Provide a link between kitchen and service areas
- Organise in-house functions
Delivery strategy
Hospitality Training Australia delivers this program flexibly and on the job. A training and assessment session is conducted every three weeks for each participant.
Enrolment includes all learning resources, workbooks and certification.
The program is self paced however it is our aim to complete this program within 36 months for each participant.
